Demo of Browser For Embedded Linux Devices Released
Demo Aimed Toward Developers
December 27, 1999
Access Co. Ltd. has made a free demonstration version of its NetFront browser for Linux-based embedded applications available to developers.
Access, a Japanese company, claims that NetFront holds 80 percent of the embedded browser market in that country. The browser is used in devices like handhelds, smart phones and video game consoles in that country. The company says it is making the free demo available in an effort to expand its presence into Europe and the United States.
The demo is downloadable from the company's Web site. The company says that depending on feedback it will release a full version in the second half of 2000.
