Using Impress-ive Charts In OpenOffice.org - page 4
Remember That Job With A Process
Now that you have a chart in your slide show, I'd like to talk about how you can make changes.
Obviously, you can resize your chart by grabbing a side or corner and dragging to make it larger or smaller. You can also move the chart around on the slide, for optimal positioning.
Sometimes you might want to change the colors, chart type and so on. It's pretty easy. Here's an outline of the steps:
- Left double click, to highlight the chart.
- Right click to get the chart edit menu. On it you will find selections for editing the chart wall, chart type, data, 3-D effects, etc.
- Select the edit function that you want to use.
If you are using a 3-D style chart, you can spin the chart around for better viewing of the data.
- Left double click, to highlight the chart.
- Single left click over the chart to bring up the rotate symbol. Click and hold down the left button, over a red dot, to spin the chart.
- Left click anywhere on the slide when you are done and the chart will stay in the orientation that you chose.
Chart components also show up on the chart edit menu. You may need to change a chart title, legend, background color, etc.
